L’un des plus important et imposant monument aux morts de la Capitale, en hommage aux soldats morts pour la patrie durant la Grande Guerre. Facile d’accès et très bien entretenu. Respect à eux. À voir

Magnificent war memorial commemorating the glory of the French Army in The Great War. This imposing monument, more than 5 metres high, is situated on the external wall of the cimetière de Passy.
The monument consists of nine figures. Several of these represent different branches of the French army incuding a Poilu (infantryman), artillerist, engineer and colonial cavalrayman. The central character is a female warrior armed with sword and shield (perhaps a representation of La Marianne). The final two figures are a woman supporting a dying (or wounded) naked man.
The memorial can be accessed directly from the Trocèdero metro station. Follow signs for exit 5 Cimetière de Passy.
